It is no secret that Wolff, who hails from of New Albany, OH, and trains with Michele Grubb, holds her grooms and the turnout of her horses to the highest standards. She has won four Best Presented Horse Awards since the inception of the honor by Equis Boutique in 2015.

Quirie 2, owned by John Wolff, is a nine-year-old bay Bavarian Warmblood gelding by Quadrigus M x Quidam’s Rubin and was prepared for the Tryon Summer II FEI Horse Inspection by Wolff’s grooms, Mary Glier and Stacy Lawless. Their work was noticed by the TIEC ground jury, which won them Best Presented.

“It’s really a team effort to get the horses ready,” Wolff said. “The Best Presented Award is something we always try and win because I love recognizing our grooms. The jog is one of the only places to showcase what our grooms do and the effort they put in.”

While Wolff has the care of her horses at an impressive level, she also believes that the FEI Horse Inspection is an opportunity to show off horsemanship in general.

“Properly presenting a horse at the jog is more of a skilled display of horsemanship than one would think,” she said. “It’s important to have a horse that trots correctly and listens to its handler. My team is dedicated to making sure our horses can do just that.”

Wolff has had the ride on Quirie 2 for one year and hopes he is the mount that will help her work her way up the FEI rankings in the near future.

After claiming the Equis Boutique Best Presented Horse Award, Wolff piloted Quirie 2 to a fourth-place finish in the $35,000 Suncast® 1.50m Welcome.

Wolff’s Best Presented Award consisted of a commemorative plaque, as well as a pair of tendon boots from Equis Boutique partner brand, Kentucky Horsewear.

Equis Boutique will offer the Best Presented Horse Award at TIEC during the summer season at TIEC, highlighted by two upcoming CSI 4* weeks running through July 24.
